Vardenafil används för att behandla manliga sexuella funktionsproblem (impotens eller erektil dysfunktion-ED). I kombination med sexuell stimulans, vardenafil verkar genom att öka blodflödet till penis för att hjälpa en man att få och behålla erektion.
Vardenafil, som med alla PDE5-hämmare, should not be used by men taking nitrate medications, because combining them with vardenafil might provoke potentially life-threatening hypotension (low blood pressure). Further, Vardenafil causing lengthening of the QT interval. Therefore it should not be taken by men taking other medications that affect the QT interval (such as amiodarone).
This drug does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, syphilis). Practice “safe sex” such as using latex condoms. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
Vardenafil action is just like that of tadalafil and Sildenafil. It has the ability to control over the activity of this enzyme. Vardenafil stops the activity of this enzyme and improves the blood flow to the penis which makes it firm and erect. At the same time, the blood vessels carrying blood away from the penis decrease in size and decrease the removal of blood from the penis. Erection can be easily achieved by using Vardenafil.
